"Unsettled bets" count towards the limit, and you are advised to check your unsettled bets if you are unable to place new bets, as these might be causing you to reach your limit.

This limit is explicitly stated as "not a net limit," meaning profits are excluded and are not offset against the maximum bet limit. Decreasing an existing limit is effective immediately. Increasing a limit is subject to a "24-hour cool off period" before the new limit takes effect.
